FAQs

Just like humans, dogs and cats can develop seasonal and environmental allergies that cause uncomfortable symptoms. It helps to catch allergies early, but dogs and cats often give us different clues.

Common signs of allergies in dogs include itching and scratching (especially the paws, ears, and belly), occasional red or inflamed skin, hair thinning, licking or chewing their paws, rubbing their face or body on furniture or carpet, sneezing, watery or itchy eyes, runny nose, head shaking, and hot spots.

In cats, signs of allergies may include scratching, biting, or licking around the head, neck, or belly; overgrooming that leads to bald spots or irritation; red or inflamed skin; hair thinning; sneezing; watery or itchy eyes; and nasal discharge.

This supplement works best when given daily for at least 30 days. Some pets may show results sooner, but consistency is key. Regular use will help support cats and dogs that suffer from seasonal allergies.

Bovine Colostrum

Gut balance is crucial for immune health. Non-GMO colostrum provides immunoglobulins and PRPs (Proline-Rich Polypeptides) that help address imbalanced immune and histamine responses, the root cause of many seasonal allergic symptoms.

Lysine

As one of the main limiting amino acids in pet diets, lysine is key to collagen formation and tissue repair. It supports protein synthesis and healthy skin regeneration.

Licorice Root

An herb widely known for its traditional use in supporting the body's natural stress response, licorice root has been used to help the body adapt to occasional physical and environmental stressors. These can in turn influence inflammation, seasonal discomfort, and digestive balance.

Zinc

Zinc supports skin healing, immune defense, and skin barrier function. Without it, pets may face issues with skin hydration, repair, and inflammation.

Vitamin E

An antioxidant that supports the cellular integrity of the skin and a healthy, shiny coat. Deficiencies can result in dull fur and flaky skin.

For safe use in puppies and kittens, please discuss with your veterinarian prior to administering the supplement.

The wafer format of Spirited Paw Skin + Allergy offers flexibility to make it easier for your pet to take. Here’s how you can give it:

·       For Dogs: You can give the wafer whole, break it into smaller pieces and sprinkle over food, or hide it in a treat. If your dog is hesitant, hiding it in their favorite treat or food can help ensure they take it.

·       For Cats: Cats can be finicky with new foods or textures. You can offer the wafer whole or crush it into smaller pieces and sprinkle it over their food.

This supplement supports a healthy immune and histamine response, while also helping maintain skin structure and function. These combined actions promote skin comfort and a shiny, well-nourished coat.

In the spring, blooming trees and pollen are common culprits; summer brings grass, pollen, stinging insects, and rising mold levels. Fall introduces ragweed, decaying leaves, and mold spores, while winter can mean dry indoor air, dust mites, and increased exposure to household cleaners. Lawn pesticides and chemical cleaning products used year-round can further irritate sensitive pets. Skin + Allergy supports the immune system and soothes skin from the inside out- offering support for both seasonal and everyday environmental irritants.
